Solo guest reading on riverside balcony at Nghê Prana

A hotel that knows when to leave you alone

Hoi An for introverts

Nghê Prana is Hoi An for introverts. Nine rooms. A pool that rarely has more than two people in it. Staff who are trained to be warm and then leave you alone. A restaurant where solo dining is the norm, not the exception. A Silent Dinner once a week that is optional but popular.

If you came to Hoi An because a friend promised you lanterns, and you are now on day three and quietly plotting an escape, this is the address you wish you'd booked first.

Small — really small

Nine rooms in total. You will see other guests, but you will not queue for anything, ever.

Staff trained not to over-serve

Warm, attentive, then invisible. If you want to sit on a bench with a book, nobody is going to interrupt to ask if you're okay.

Solo travel is normal here

We host many solo travellers every month. Communal dining exists but is always optional.

Questions guests ask

Frequently asked

Do I have to do communal meals?

Never. Breakfast and dinner are private by default; you can request a shared table only if you want one.

Is there anyone around during the day?

Reception is staffed, but the property is designed for self-guided time. Nobody will check on you.

Are solo travellers welcome?

Emphatically yes. Roughly a third of our guests travel solo.
