Where quiet is the default, not an event
A quiet retreat in Hoi An for light sleepers
Nghê Prana is a quiet retreat in Hoi An — modest in scale, but serious about stillness. The property sits on the Thu Bon River in Cam Nam, away from the bars and traffic of the Old Town. There is no piped music anywhere on site. Mornings are slow, the pool is rarely crowded, and the loudest thing at night is the river.
This isn't a Vipassana monastery, and we run no organised silence — you can speak when you want, and the Old Town is ten minutes by bicycle. But if you came to Hoi An for genuine quiet rather than a programme, this is the address.
Quiet is the default
No piped music on the property. Staff are trained to speak softly. Rooms are riverside and triple-glazed, so the loudest thing at 2am is the Thu Bon.
A riverside, not a bar zone
Cam Nam sits across the river from the Old Town — no through traffic, no late-night bass. The neighbourhood itself goes quiet by mid-evening.
Solo-traveller friendly
We host many solo travellers looking for quiet. Solo dining is the norm at the restaurant, and communal breakfasts are always optional.
Every room faces the river
23 riverside rooms in Cam Nam, Hoi An. Blackout curtains, organic bedding, aromatherapy turndown.
