How Much Is a Massage in Hội An? We Read Ten Spa Menus to Find Out

How much is a massage in Hội An? About 430,000₫, roughly US$17, for a 60-minute full-body massage at a spa that publishes its prices. That is the median of the cheapest all-day hour on ten Hội An spa menus we read on 7 November 2026, which ran from 370,000 to 550,000₫. Two of the ten print a 30% discount beside the price, which takes that hour down to 290,000 and 320,000₫. One resort spa's published hour is more than three times that, and a local guide puts budget massage lower still. We are Nghê Prana, a riverside hotel on the Thu Bồn with a spa of our own, and our prices are in the table too, including the treatment where we are the dearest on the list.

How much is a massage in Hội An? The short answer

At 26,000₫ to the dollar, 430,000₫ is about US$17 and the whole range of the first row is about US$14 to US$21. Every figure is the printed price before any discount, read on 7 November 2026.

How we counted. We opened the websites of Hội An spas that appear in Google's results for massage in the town and read each menu. We kept the ten that print a duration next to a price in text we could read. From each we took the printed price for an adult, on offer all day, before any discount. A median is the middle value, so one expensive menu does not pull it up. Three more menus were left out: two give "from" prices with no duration, and one prints a column of prices we could not match to treatment names. We have not named the ten, because this page is not a ranking of our neighbours; each price is on the spa's own website. Only one of the ten dates its list (September 2026); the other nine carry no date, so they show what each site displayed on 7 November.

Why does the same hour have so many prices?

Seven things move the number. None of them is a catch; they are the questions that make two menus comparable.

• Printed price or sale price. Four of the ten advertise a discount: two print 30% off beside each price, one shows 20% off and one up to 10%. On those two menus the printed 415,000₫ and 460,000₫ hours become 290,000₫ and 320,000₫.
• Time of day. One menu has a 360,000₫ hour that runs only from 8:00 to noon, which is why it is not in our count.
• Which massage. The cheapest hour on a menu is usually a plain Vietnamese or aroma massage. At the median, Thai costs about 60,000₫ more than oil.
• Minutes. Going from 60 to 90 minutes adds 130,000 to 200,000₫ on the ten menus, with a median of 152,500₫. On our menu it adds 150,000₫.
• One person or two. Most menus price per person, and at least one prints a price per couple. Read which.
• Pickup. Five of the ten advertise free pickup in Hội An. Some attach conditions, such as 90 minutes or two guests.
• The final bill. One of the ten says in writing that nothing is added to the printed price. The other nine do not say on the pages we read, so it is worth asking.

Why do guides say 150,000₫ and resorts 1,400,000₫?

These figures do not contradict each other; they measure different places. Our count only sees spas with a website and a readable menu, which is the part of the market a visitor can check from a phone. The budget band comes from a price guide published by a Hội An villa, which also gives 150,000 to 350,000₫ for a foot massage and 250,000 to 500,000₫ for a Vietnamese massage, with no method stated. Those may be the small shops that do not appear in search results; we could not check them. VietnamSpot's guide gives no budget figure for Hội An at all, and starts at 400,000₫. Its premium band for an hour ends at 1,800,000₫, and the one resort hour we could read sits inside it, at 1,400,000₫. The same page lists 90 minutes at 1,850,000₫ and does not say whether tax is included.

Where our own menu sits

So the honest answer is this: our oil massage is priced just under the town's middle, and our other treatments are priced above theirs. Our foot massage is the dearest of the nine prices we compared. Our Vietnamese massage, at 520,000₫, costs more than all six on the list, and it is a different treatment, built around a warm herbal compress. If the lowest price is what you want, there are cheaper hours in Hội An, and a printed discount widens the gap. They are a perfectly good choice. A price says nothing about how good the massage is, and we did not try to measure that.

• For hotel guests, 15% off spa treatments, which takes the 450,000₫ hour to 382,500₫. That discount is for in-house guests only. Visitors get a fresh drink after the treatment.

How much is a massage for two in Hội An?

Double the per-person price: about 860,000₫ for two at the median cheapest hour, and 900,000₫ for two oil massages here, side by side in the couple's room. Only two things on our menu cost less when two of you take them: the private jacuzzi, 300,000₫ each for 30 minutes against 400,000₫ alone, and the private herbal steam, 250,000₫ each for 20 minutes against 300,000₫ alone. Do you tip for a massage in Hội An?

It is optional. If you would like to, we suggest 50,000 to 100,000₫ for an hour, handed to your therapist. The reasoning is on tipping for a massage in Vietnam.

Do you remove all your clothes for a full-body massage?

Not here. For the oil, hot stone, herbal, bamboo and pregnancy treatments you undress to your underwear, which stays on for the whole treatment, and a towel covers you throughout; only the area being worked on is uncovered. What we could not verify

Five limits, stated plainly. This is ten menus, not every spa in Hội An, and it leaves out every shop without a readable website. We read websites; we did not phone or visit, and only one list carries a date, so a price may have changed since it was posted. The budget band rests on one guide with no stated method. We could read only one resort price: other resort pages either refused our request or printed no price. And we counted prices only, so this page cannot tell you which hour is the better massage.
