How far is Nghê Prana from An Bàng beach?

We are on Cẩm Nam island, on the Thu Bồn river, not on the coast. From our gate to An Bàng the distance is 5.8 km. We routed it with two open routing engines, OSRM and Valhalla, on 13 and 14 October 2026, and use the same figures everywhere: about 10 to 15 minutes by car and about 25 by bicycle. If you would rather walk in off the sand in your flip-flops, a spa behind the beach is closer than we are, and that is the sensible choice; we do not pretend otherwise. What we offer from 5.8 km away is a car that comes to you, published prices, and a private room with a door that closes, on Cẩm Nam island by the Thu Bồn. How does the free pickup from An Bàng work?

1. Message us on WhatsApp or Zalo at +84 896 687 961. Send a map pin, or the name of the beach restaurant or villa where you are, the treatment you want, the time you would like to start, and how many of you there are. If you would prefer a male or a female therapist, say so in the same message. 2. We reply within 15 minutes during spa hours, 9:00 to 21:00, to confirm the slot and when the driver will come. 3. Give us at least an hour. A same-day booking needs 60 minutes' notice, so a message sent at 14:00 is for a treatment from 15:00 onward. 4. The driver brings you to the spa, about 10 to 15 minutes by car from An Bàng. 5. The way back is yours to arrange. The free ride is the one to the spa. You do not need to be staying with us, and the ride costs nothing on top of the treatment. For a pickup, message us rather than using the online booking form: WhatsApp and Zalo are where the reply time is promised. That promise covers spa hours only, so for a morning slot, message the day before, between 9:00 and 21:00. Walk-ins are welcome when a room is free, but if you want to be picked up, the message comes first.

Can you come straight from the beach?

Yes. A few things make the hour better. If you can, rinse off the salt and sand before the driver comes, and bring something dry to change into rather than arriving in a wet swimsuit. Sunscreen and sand on the skin are worth washing off before oil goes on. For the oil massage and the other oil treatments you undress to your underwear, which stays on for the whole treatment under a towel; for the foot massage and the Thai massage without oil you stay dressed. And drink water, because it is hot and humid and you have spent the day in the sun, not to "flush out toxins": the pathology textbook we follow finds no evidence that a massage releases any.

What if you got sunburnt on the beach?

Then the massage may need to wait, and we would rather say so before you book. Ruth Werner's A Massage Therapist's Guide to Pathology, 5th edition, classes sunburn as a first-degree burn that usually heals in 2 to 3 days (p. 52). Burns contraindicate massage while they are acute, and "the only exception might be very mild sunburn" (p. 53); a burn that has blistered is second-degree, and then the answer is no. The American Academy of Dermatology is just as plain about scrubs: "Never exfoliate if you have open cuts or wounds or if your skin is sunburned."

• No scrub on sunburnt skin, at all.
• Full-body work waits until the burn stops hurting, usually two or three days. The oil massage, the hot stones, the warm herbal compresses, the herbal steam and the jacuzzi all rub, heat or soak the skin, and a burn wants none of the three.
• If your feet and calves escaped the sun, the foot massage never goes near the burn: 450,000₫ for 60 minutes, and you stay dressed.
• Blisters mean no massage. A pharmacy or a doctor is a better next stop than a spa.
• The aloe vera sunburn treatment on our menu is sold only inside Package 4, "To Looking Your Best!": 1,440,000₫ (about US$55) for three hours, with a facial and a manicure and pedicure. If aloe is all you want, waiting is cheaper; what aloe does and does not do is on does aloe vera help sunburn.

What can you book after a day at the beach, and what does it cost?

Prices are per person, read from our live spa menu on 7 November 2026, and final: VAT is included and there is no service charge. At the 26,000₫ rate we use across the site, 450,000₫ is about US$17 and 770,000₫ about US$30. Our three facials, each with three masks, are 450,000₫ for 45 minutes and 600,000₫ for 60; on a sunburnt face, the same wait applies. For two: two 60-minute oil massages side by side in the couple's room are 900,000₫, and 30 minutes in the room's own jacuzzi at 300,000₫ each brings the total to 1,500,000₫ for both of you (about US$58). One person alone in the jacuzzi is 400,000₫ for 30 minutes. If either of you is sunburnt, leave the jacuzzi for another day. No. The ride to the spa is free for anyone in Hội An who books a treatment, An Bàng included, wherever you are staying. What is for hotel guests only is the 15% spa discount; visitors get a fresh drink after the treatment.

Do you drive me back to the beach after the massage?
